FOOD DIARY: Friday, February 1st Great “Spa Cuisine”

Last night was the second night of our Tuesday/Thursday diet and Diane made us a brilliant seafood broth for our low-cal dinner.

She first grilled about three prawns each with some snapper pieces and placed them in the  broth with onions, shallots, peas and celery.  The both was flavoured with: smoked paprika, garlic, chili and saffron.  Obviously it was very floavourful and not at all dietary but it was also very low-cal in keeping with the letter of the diet.

The green salad that followed was equally tasty.

I’m really surprising myself with cooking this “Spa Cusine.” I guess I am desperate to eat food with flavour so even on these minimum calorie intake days I try to cook with imagination. I am quite pleased.
