FOOD DIARY: Tuesday, February 19th Tony Roma’s (birthday)

Yesterday evening, because I had signed up as a customer, the restaurant gives you a 15% discount on a meal during the month of your birthday so we took advantage of the rather modest discount and had dinner there.

We have been there about three times before over about four years so we knew the menu.  Diane’s sweet father thought that Tony Roma had the best ribs and he introduced us to the place about 20 years ago in San Jose, California.  We cannot indulge ourselves often because the food is too caloric but his ribs are really good. 

Last night we just had a half ( each) of Roma’s St Louis ribs that we both think has more meat on them.  They come with a choice of sides: we both had slaw and fries and as an extra we ordered a small bowl of beans to share.  Our beverage was their House Wine which helped the meal along very well.
