Last night when John and Jeongsook visited and we enjoyed a wonderful seafood extravaganza. We enjoyed: delicious Franklin Harbour, South Australian oysters. (The ABC reported this morning that there is a new virus that is decimating the Australian oyster industry so I hope it doesn’t come further west.)
After the oysters Diane brought in a platter of Blue Swimmer crabs that I had cleaned earlier. It is late in the season and they were of a good size and had been cooked to perfection when delivered.
Along with the crabs were some locally caught prawns; not large but sweet and fresh.
Diane served two salads: a pasta salad with pesto and a potato salad with caper berries and both were delicious.
