Matching the country of origin for the food with a wine from that country is always something for which I try to aim. I don’t particularly enjoy fancy food or the fancy wine that goes with it. The Italians call the food that I enjoy the most Cucina Casalinga or family home cooking; nothing fancy just the food that people prepare at home–simple is best.
