FOOD DIARY: lamb roast with potatoes au gratin

Tonight’s meal started at the Fremantle Markets several days ago when we purchased some items from Stockman’s Meats; they are the people that market only grass fed beef and open range chickens.  We try also to give our custom to the smaller businesses as opposed to the two big markets, Coles and Woolies, who dominate the food market here in Australia.

We bought a small piece of lamb that could roast and serve both of us with no leftovers.  The lamb was the best have ever eaten and the scalloped were a treat.  We enjoyed a bottle of Shiraz from The M-Line
