FOOD DIARY: Dr. Oether Pizza Night

We took the easy way out last night and heated a pizza; however,  Friday night is Party Night so Sweet Diane fixed a strong martini for our enjoyment.  Gordon’s is not the most expensive gin on the shelf but after having tasted a number of brands it is the one that I find consistently good and I believe Diane has arrived at the same conclusion.  Diane made up a little plate of enticing nibbles: baby preserved mushrooms, prosciutto, pesto spread on little toasts and halved grape tomatoes capped with a spread of olive tapenade.

The good doctor’s pizza is the best that we have found and last night it did not let us down.  We had a cleansing salad at the end of this little party meal.

Our beverage was a bottle of Temple Bauer Cabernet Merlot which is an Organic Wine with no preservatives and it tasted delicious.
