FOOD DIARY: spaghetti al pomodoro

The weather temperature has taken a dive so comfort food was called for and there can be no better comfort food than a plate of Spaghetti al Pomodoro.  Not only is it comfort food but it is cupboard food because the ingredients are always at hand.  A can of Italian chopped tomatoes, a glove or two of crushed garlic and some torn basil  leaves with a sprinkling of olive oil and a delicious warming dinner was at the ready.

Diane added a fulsome salad and a bottle of Farnese Sangiovese and a delicious, untroubling meal was enjoyed by those lucky enough to be at the table last evening.
