penne arrabiata

I missed yesterday’s Food Diary so today’s entry goes back two days. 

The day before yesterday Diane made a delicious fridg meal using some sugo arrabiata  that she had made earlier.  The penne was perfect to use with the sauce because the sauce was liquid enough to penetrate into the pasta just as the Italians knew it would.

Di also made a robust salad befitting the strong pasta.

I had the rest of the Montepulciano while Diane had a glass from a new bottle of Houghton’s Chardonnay Verdelho which is a delicious wine from our Swan Valley.
