Our dinner two nights ago was simplicity in its self because Diane just reheated the second half of the Chicken Laurel from earlier in the week and it tasted as good as the first time.
We enjoyed a bottle excellent Chardonnay Verdelho with the chicken so the meal was easy for Diane to prerpare yet excerllent to eat.
Last night I returned to the kitchen and prepared a simple pantry meal: pasta with salad. I made a tomato based sauce flavoured with crushed garlic, chopped shallots and olive oil. It tasted remarkably good even though it was extremely easy to prepare. As always there was an accompaning green salad as a healthy palate cleanser.
Our wine of choice was a glass or two of the remains from earlier dinners.
