Sweet Diane made one of my favourites again just because I asked for it last night.
She began our Friday Party evening with a perfect Old Crow Manhattan with a small plate of: Pickled Onions, small pieces of Prosciutto, Olives, strips of Pickled Capsicum and small squares of Toast with Tapenade.
Following these delights came the main course of Spaghetti with Pesto.
As an accompaniment we enjoyed a delicious bottle of 2011 Mandoleto Catarratto from Sicilia. This white wine, although inexpensive, (to my mind) is the best of many wonderful types of Southern Italian white wines.
